The Welsh government in the United Kingdom has announced plans to ban the sale of disposable e-cigarettes from April 1, 2025, Wales Online reported on April 22nd. Welsh Rural Affairs Minister Huw Irranca Davies said the implementation date was set to give "businesses the necessary time to prepare and be supported by the publication of guidance and communications materials." A consultation on the subject was completed in January this year in four countries across the UK, attracting more than 27,000 people to the discussion. The Welsh Government has made it clear that it will actively promote a ban on disposable e-cigarettes, as well as supporting the UK Government's legislation to raise the smoking age and restrict the sale of e-cigarettes.
